1. Monthly Service Genoa-Australia, 1937-1940 .
In 1937,
the vessels Remo, Romolo, Esquilino
and Viminale
(see N.G.I above) were transferred
back to Lloyd
Triestino and continued the
service from
Genoa via Suez to Fremantle,
Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, until Italy
entered the War in 1940.
Remo – 1940 seized
by Australia
As above
in Fremantle when Italy entered
the war and r/n Reynella.
1947 on a passage Lae-Sydney
grounded on Jonard reef. Refloated
and towed to Sydney

repaired at Newcastle

1942 while in a convoy Bizerte-
Palermo damaged in air attack

in Palermo damaged by
two-man torpedo. While under
tow Messina -Taranto for repairs
torpedoed and sunk in a
submarine attack off
Cape Vaticano.
