, in the German Navy,
                    converted to submarine depot ship 
                    and later a repair ship in Norwegian 
                    waters.
                    1945 taken over by the Canadian 
                    Government
                    1947 sold to Canadian Pacific 
                    Steamships r/n Beaverbrae, and
                    Refitted to carry 773 one class 
                    passengers
                    1948 for six years carried passengers
                    and cargo between Europe and Canada
                    1954 purchased  by Cogedar Line and 
                    r/n Aurelia. Rebuilt to accommodate
                    more passengers - 1,124 berths.
                    1955-1958 four r/v’s a year to Australia
                    from Italian ports
                    1958 diesels replaced and superstructure 
                    extended
                    1959 sailing from Bremerhaven to
                    Australia
                    1961 Southampton added to route
                    1964 sailing from Rotterdam and
                    calling at Southampton went via 
                    Panama to Auckland and Sydney, 
                    returning via Suez.
                    1965-1966 two more voyages on 
                    this route, then reverted to the Suez 
                    route in both directions but extending 
                    to Auckland
                    1967
the closureof the  Suez Canal
                    and the decline in the migrant trade
                    led Cogedar to end its service to
                    Australia.
                   1968 Aurelia
made its last sailing to
                    Australia. Refitted as cruise ship
                    1970 sold to Chandris Line r/n 
                    Romanza
                    1979 ran aground in Aegean Sea. 
                    Damaged, laid-up during much of 
                    the 1980s.
                    1991 sold to a Cypriot cruise firm 
                    r/n Romantica
                    1997
a fire in the engine room forced 
                    the evacuation of the ship. The vessel
                    was towed to Limassol but gutted
                    by the fire

                    1961 (Nov) last  sailing from
                    Fremantle on return voyage

                    1961, purchased and r/n Flavia
                    by the Cogedar Line
                    1962, first voyage from Genoa
                    via Suez to Fremantle , Melbourne 
                    and Sydney.  Late in the year,
                    Bremerhaven via Southampton 
                    and Suez to Sydney
                    1963, began a round the world 
                    service from Bremerhaven
                    Rotterdam and London via Panama
                    to Tahiti, Auckland and Australia, 
                    and then back to Europe via Suez
                    1968, with the Cogedar decision 
                    to end its service to Australia , 
                    Flavia made a final voyage from
                    Rotterdam, and a cruise from 
                    Sydney.  On its return to Europe, 
                    the vessel was chartered by
                    Atlantic CruiseLine for cruises
                    from Miami.
                    1969 the ship was sold to the
                    Costa Line and began a career in
                    cruising out of Miami and in the
                    Mediterranean. 
                    1982,.Flavia was withdrawn from 
                    cruising and sold to the C.Y. Tung  
                    and Group of Hong Kong, r/n 
                    Flavian and laid-up. in Hong Kong. 
                    1986, sold to Panamanian buyers 
                    r/n Lavia. 
                    1989, 
gutted by fire while 
                    undergoing a refit in Hong Kong. 
                    Sold for scrap.
